Refund Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with DamnSlides. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can request a refund, how cancellations work, and your rights as a consumer.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all initial subscription purchases. If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your first payment date — no questions asked.

  • This guarantee applies to the first payment of a new subscription only.
  • It applies to all paid plans: Plus, Pro, and Ultra.
  • To claim the guarantee, contact us at billing@damnslides.com within 30 days of your initial charge.
  • The refund will be processed to your original payment method.

2. Subscription Renewal Refunds

For subsequent monthly renewal charges, you may request a refund within 14 days of the renewal date if:

  • You intended to cancel before the renewal but were unable to do so due to a technical issue on our end.
  • You were charged after submitting a cancellation request that was not yet processed.
  • The renewal was a duplicate or erroneous charge.

After 14 days from a renewal date, the charge for that billing period is non-refundable. However, you may cancel at any time to prevent future renewals (see Section 4).

Refund requests submitted more than 60 days after the original transaction date cannot be processed by our payment provider, regardless of the circumstances.

4. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You continue to have access to all paid features and remaining credits until that date.
  • After the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan with the standard monthly credit allocation.
  • No partial or pro-rata refund is automatically issued for unused days within the billing period.
  • Your presentations and data are not deleted upon cancellation. You retain access to view and export your existing work.

4.1 Pro-Rata Refunds

We do not automatically issue pro-rata refunds for mid-cycle cancellations. However, if you cancel within the first 7 days of a new billing cycle and have consumed fewer than 10% of your monthly credits, you may request a pro-rata refund by contacting support. We will calculate the unused portion and coordinate the refund through Paddle.

5. Credit Refunds

5.1 Consumed Credits

Credits consumed by AI operations (outline generation, slide deck generation, single slide regeneration, AI review) are non-refundable. When an AI operation is initiated, the underlying API cost is incurred by us regardless of the output quality, completeness, or your satisfaction with the result.

5.2 Service Failure Credit Restoration

If an AI operation fails due to a verified service error on our end — such as a server timeout, system crash, API provider outage, or internal error that prevents output delivery — we will restore the consumed credits to your account. To request credit restoration:

  • Contact billing@damnslides.com within 7 days of the failed operation.
  • Include the approximate date/time and the type of operation that failed.
  • We will verify the failure in our server logs and restore credits within 48 hours of confirmation.

5.3 Unused Monthly Credits

Monthly credit allocations that expire at the end of a billing cycle are not refundable, compensable, or transferable. Credits are a use-it-or-lose-it allocation that resets each billing period.

5.4 Credits Upon Refund

If you receive a subscription refund, any credits received as part of that billing period will be deducted from your account. If you have already consumed more credits than were available under the Free plan, no additional charge will apply, but your account will be set to zero credits until the next reset.

6. EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), starting from the day after the transaction is completed.

6.1 Digital Content Exception

DamnSlides is a digital content service that begins performance immediately upon subscription activation. By subscribing and using the Service, you:

  • Consent to immediate performance of the digital content service before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period.
  • Acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been accessed, credits have been used, or AI features have been utilized.

If you have not accessed any paid features or consumed any credits, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days for a full refund, even if the 30-day money-back guarantee applies separately.

6.2 Reimbursement Method

EU refunds will be made using the same payment method as the original transaction, without undue delay and within 14 days of us being informed of your withdrawal decision. No additional fees will be charged for the reimbursement.

7. Anti-Fraud and Abuse

We reserve the right to refuse refund requests where there is evidence of:

  • Refund abuse or a pattern of repeated refund requests across multiple accounts.
  • Excessive credit consumption followed by a refund request (e.g., using the majority of monthly credits and then requesting a full refund).
  • Fraudulent payment methods, chargebacks made in bad faith, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Account activity inconsistent with legitimate personal or business use.

Our payment processor may also cancel transactions and issue refunds at its sole discretion if it reasonably believes a transaction was made in error, fraudulently, or may result in a chargeback.

8. How to Request a Refund

You have two options:

Option A: Contact DamnSlides

Email billing@damnslides.com with:

  • Your account email address.
  • The date of the payment you wish to refund.
  • A brief reason for the refund request.

We will review your request and, if approved, process the refund through our payment provider. We aim to respond within 2 business days and complete the refund process within 5 business days.

9. Complaint Resolution

If you are dissatisfied with our handling of a refund request or any other billing matter:

  • Step 1: Contact us at billing@damnslides.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days.
  • Step 2: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to our payment processor's buyer support team, who will review the matter independently.
  • Step 3: For EU consumers, if the matter remains unresolved, you may refer the dispute to the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform of the European Commission at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes will not apply retroactively to transactions made before the effective date.
